Join us on a journey of creation to Virtual Intimacy, a performance like no other.

Over three years, directors Edwin Kemp Attrill (ActNow Theatre, South Australia) and Tung-Yen Chou (Very Theatre, Taiwan) responded to a challenge from Asia TOPA to create a live performance together, exploring how our individual relationships with technology are changing our relationships with one another.

Collaborating with queer communities and artists in Taipei, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide, the project was participatory at all stages of development. This mini documentary showcases scenes from the premiere performance in Melbourne and features vox pop audience interviews, conversations with community members involved in the development, and the creative process of the artists involved.
