Betty Error Trip

Betty Apple (Taipei) | Betty Grumble (Sydney)

Betty Error Trip is an ongoing worlding; a shared experience of artmaking under extreme circumstances. Through pandemic and lockdown, Apple and Grumble have forged a powerful personal and artistic connection, mediated and filtered through layers of technology, physical separation and patriarchy.

They have shared their practices and experiences as artists and queer women, exploring ideas of physical and spiritual connection, place, friendship, and digital mysticism.

The resulting video documents their creative explorations, including the creation of bespoke Instagram filters, which were then used in a live performance ritual streamed through the platform.
