The vast histories, philosophies and cultures of China and India meet in this breathtaking work of dance and storytelling.

Be one of the first in the world to experience this stunning dance performance!

Samsara merges the vast histories, philosophies and cultures of China and India into a breathtaking work by two acclaimed artists. A first-time collaboration by Aakash Odedra (UK/India) and Hu Shenyuan Hu (China), Samsara is inspired by the historical events recounted in the 16th century Chinese classic Journey to the West.

It draws upon the diverse disciplines of contemporary dance, ballet, Chinese folk dance and the classical Indian dance form Kathak, and features the live music of Nicki Wells. This is your chance to experience something truly unique and breathtaking.

The Study Melbourne x Asia TOPA show is Thursday 5 March at 7.30pm

Before the show, you’re also invited to a special International Student Welcome hosted by Study Melbourne, featuring snacks, games, guest speakers and an Indigenous Welcome to Country. It kicks off at 6.30 and is free to attend!
